Are there any preservatives in the products? How should I store the products? What is the shelf life of the products?

Our products do not contain any preservatives but only 100 % Organic Oil content. In order to keep the products in the best therapeutic condition, please keep them away from heat and sunlight as these factors will affect their stability. We generally recommend our customers to use up the bottle a year after it is opened.

Are the products certified as organic?

All ingredients of our products are Organic Certified with comprehensive testing.

Can the products be used internally?

The quality and organic essential oil and body oil products offered by THE OIL LABORATORY are intended to be used solely for aromatherapy and skin care. Our products have been clearly labelled as “for external use only” due to its high concentration and safety consideration. That adheres to the principle laid down by the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA), which has stated:

“AIA does not endorse internal therapeutic use (oral, vaginal or rectal) of essential oils unless recommended by a health care practitioner trained at an appropriate clinical level. An appropriate level of training must include chemistry, anatomy, diagnostics, physiology, formulation guidelines and safety issues regarding each specific internal route (oral, vaginal or rectal). When will I see the results?

For Aromatherapy, you should feel the positive effects and get improvement within 10 - 15 minutes after following our usage directions. And for skincare and hair care, normally significant results will be seen after using 2 - 4 weeks continuously. Can the products be mixed with other essential oil or body lotion?

Definitely yes. We recommend our customers to mix the pure essential oils with our body oils, or you can mix and match our essential oils with your own body lotion or facial cream.

Can the products be applied to all skin types and areas?

Can the products be used everyday and during pregnancy or nursing?

All our body oils and essentials oils are 100% organic and could be used in a daily basis, but they all have their unique functions and characteristics. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication, please kindly refer to our production description or feel free to send you enquiries to enquiry@theoillaboratory.com. Our Product Specialists will contact you within a business day. Should you have any hesitation, please kindly consult your physician beforehand.

Do I need to wash off the oils after massage?

You don’t need to wash the oil off after massage since our 100% Organic body oils are good for your skin. After massage, allow it to penetrate into your skin and dry naturally. You will find your skin silky, smooth and soft.

How many drops of oil should I use for different parts of the body?

It depends on which essential oils and body oils and what therapeutic needs you are looking for. You may refer to the product description and usage of each oil or send your enquiries to enquiry@theoillaboratory.com. Our Product Specialists will contact you within 1 business day.

What should I do if I have allergic reaction after using the products?

Generally, all of our body oil products are neutral and non-irritating whereas our essential oils can be used for all skin types with appropriate dilution as indicated on our website. However, if you show signs of allergic reaction to any products, please stop using it and consult your physician immediately. If you are allergic to nuts, please avoid using Argan Oil.
